While I was working on Kai Degner’s Kai for Congress campaign, the candidate reached out to me for assistance with a really cool concept: a podcast which explores the use of dialogue & deliberative processes in a political setting — and what it could become once the campaign ended. Tied directly to his work with The Listening Café, The Listening Campaign podcast is a work in progress and a fascinating look at where engagement processes can be effective.
Update: Since the election, Kai has added to his “listening” work with the launch of the Listening Corps, an educational engagement program focused on teaching better listening practices. Kai came to me to expand upon his OrangeBand visual identity, tasking me to create a series of logos and wordmarks to use on the program’s materials
