The Deliberative Democracy Consortium website project provided several extra challenges. In 2016, the security of the organization’s online offerings were comprimised and taken offline. In early 2017, I was approached by their new management team and tasked with solving the security issue and returning their website and network to pre-2016 status. This included finding security solutions to prevent this intrusion from happening again.
Once the security situation was solved, I rebuilt the DDC website, creating a simple, easy-to-navigate site developed on the WordPress platform. This also included team training, support for their monthly bulletin, and my own continued involvement as Research Fellow (DDC is a partner program of my own organization, NCDD).
You can visit the website and learn more about the DDC here: www.deliberative-demcracy.net.
